1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the Services on behalf of a firm or organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity, and “you” includes that entity.

2. Who can use LawyerPro

The Services are intended for practising advocates, law firms and their authorised staff in India, who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with the rules of the Bar Council of India and any applicable professional or court rules.

3. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login (including your mobile number/OTP and any linked sign-in) and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.
  • If you add members to a practice, you are responsible for the access and roles you grant them.

4. The Services & court data

LawyerPro helps you organise cases, hearings, deadlines, documents, clients and billing, and retrieves case information from public court systems (such as the eCourts services, High Court and Supreme Court portals, and tribunals).

  • Not legal advice. The Services provide information and tools only. Nothing in the Services is legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created with us.
  • No guarantee of accuracy. Court-sourced data originates from third-party public systems and may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. We present it for convenience and, where we cannot refresh it, we mark it as last-known rather than current. You must verify critical information (such as hearing dates and orders) against the official record.
  • Reminders are aids, not guarantees. Hearing, deadline and causelist reminders depend on source data and delivery channels outside our control; you remain responsible for tracking your matters.
  • We may add, change or discontinue features at any time.

5. Plans, billing & refunds

  • LawyerPro offers a free plan and one or more paid plans. Features and limits vary by plan and may change.
  • Paid plans are billed through our payment partner (Razorpay). By subscribing, you authorise the applicable charges, including any taxes.
  • Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel before the next renewal to avoid further charges.
  • Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable and partial periods are not pro-rated. Any specific refund or cancellation terms shown at purchase apply.
  • We may change prices; changes apply from your next billing cycle after reasonable notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Services unlawfully or in breach of professional or court rules;
  • access data you are not authorised to access, or misuse another person’s information;
  • upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content, or malware;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to disrupt or bypass security or usage limits of the Services;
  • use the Services to build a competing product, or misrepresent your identity or authority.

7. Your content & data

You retain ownership of the content and data you add (including client and case information). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely to provide and improve the Services. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and consents for any personal data you enter, and for meeting your confidentiality and privilege obligations to your clients. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Services, including the LawyerPro name, logo, software, design and content (other than your content), are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your practice in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

9. Third-party services

The Services rely on third parties (including Google/Firebase, Razorpay, Meta/WhatsApp, and public court systems). Your use of features involving them may be subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability or terms may change.

10. Professional responsibility

You remain solely responsible for your professional decisions, filings, deadlines and client communications. The Services support your practice but do not replace your professional judgement, diligence, or duties to clients and the courts.

11. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that court data will be accurate, complete or timely.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawyerPro and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or professional or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services — including any reliance on court-sourced data or missed dates. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold LawyerPro harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law or professional rules.

14. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required for security or legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Services. On termination, your right to use the Services ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as sections 7–13 and 16) will survive. Account deletion and data handling are described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

16. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services.

17. General

  • If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation.
  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan terms shown at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
